FRP Lining (Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic) is a protection lining that protects chemical storage tank in pharmaceutical or chemical industries from leakage and used as a anti corrosive substance for rusting free metal container. It gives durability to civil concrete structure. FRP is made of highly strong fibers and resins

Fibers are thread like strong structures that is obtained from plants. Carbon fibers or aramid and glass fibers are now being used in ETP plants or chemical industries. Resin is also extracted from plants as a organic substance that is later on processed as a synthetic polymer. The lining thus produced is highly resistant from chemicals and heat.

FRP layering is manually performed by hands. The quality of the laying depends upon the different combinations of fibers and resins. As per the demand different type of coatings are applied in different places.

FRP Lining also known as GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) and GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Lining. This type of lining is also classified according to what type of fiber used in it. AFRP and CFRP Aramid Fiber Reinforced Plastic and Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic respectively

Compared to steel it is light weighted material and very strong. It is the substitution of other container made from steel or wood due to high level of acid resistance, low maintenance and no difficulty in installation.

Apart from chemical and pharmaceutical company it is of great use in DM Plants where where its application is appreciated in water storage tank. It safe both inner and outer surface of chemical storage tank from fumes of acid. FRP protects MS structure, motor and handrails from heat and other unfavorable conditions.

Different types of FRP layering are used for different parts of a civil structure. For example top most surface needs to be strong therefore, resin rich top layer is applied on it. If it is exposed to sun rays, ultra-violet stabilized layer is applied.C layer is often applied as surface mat. at the bottom for the stability of the storage tank

At the end it can be concluded that FRP Lining effect is long lasting so it is justify to conclude that it is a one time investment.
